Myers-Rayam testified she and her husband tried to hold it closed, but the men thrust a gun through, hit her on the head, and shot her husband. The assailant pushed through the door, ordering her to turn over her money. She threw her purse, containing $11 and two credit cards, and begged the man to leave. A doctor testified that Rayam died of the gunshot wound at the scene.
In a cross-examination Tuesday by defense lawyer Ernest Smith, Myers-Rayam testified that although the room was dimly lit, there was sufficient light from the living room and from the outside for her to identify Riley. That same day, according to testimony, Myers-Rayam led local police to Riley, whom she said she had seen five times previously on the vacation as he tried to sell the goods on the beach.

In 1996, Lisa was snapped up by FOX 5 in Atlanta and started work as an anchor and reporter for several different shows. She continued there for close to 21 years.
