Lil Wayne’s teeth, what is it, huh? The rapper/lyricist had all of his teeth covered in diamonds, popularly known as grills. Weezy has a whopping $150,000 in his mouth and according to his lyrics to “Days and Days,” that makes his words valuable. Although highly unlikely, we’ll leave him one. The grills have become an integral part of his appearance and can hardly be remembered without them, as is the case with his many tattoos.
It’s easy to forget the fact that he’s had people’s wages for 10 years in his mouth considering his dad, Birdman, spent half a million on his grills. Not half a million Zimbabwean dollars, American dollars all the way.
Grills aren’t as completely useless as some of us would assume, expensive jewelry rappers also double as braces, very expensive braces nonetheless. In 2010, Lil Wayne’s teeth became more popular when a controversy erupted. Curious? The rapper was caught in possession of a gun and serious speculation has been made regarding his very expensive jewelry following him to jail.
Apparently, there were no laws that made it clear the entertainer couldn’t take his “expensive braces” behind bars, but some grill-related issues delayed sentencing for a few weeks. According to TMZ, “We were told it was a marathon session that included eight root canals that rotated the stomach at the same time.” On top of that “We are told during the eight hour procedure, Wayne had his grill worked out, several dental implants redone, more implants added and the few real teeth he had left fixed.”
We learn so many lessons watching Lil Wayne’s life unfold, the one we take away today is that $150,000 of diamond teeth probably needs $150,000 of maintenance.
Lil Wayne’s Baby Mamas
Lil Wayne has all the qualities of a person with Baby Mama drama, he certainly has other kinds of drama. The rapper may have other aspects of his life upside down, but his relationship with his family is highly commendable. He has four children from different mothers and none of them get on each other’s throats, in fact they get along very well.
His first baby mama, who also landed the title of wife, Antonia ‘Toya’ Wright. Weezy met the mother of his only daughter when she was just 12 in New Orleans and 2 years later Toya was pregnant, carrying their first child Reginae Carter.
On November 29, 1998, when she was just 15 and Weezy was 16, Reginae was born. Weezy has fully pursued his rapping career to support his family. Six years later (2004) the couple were married and just 2 years later they separated and divorced due to personal differences. Despite this, they still maintain a good relationship and raise their daughter together.
Baby Mama number 2, is Sarah Vivian, the mother of Dwayne Michael Carter III. Weezy met the mother of his second child at one of his gigs in 2005 and had an on-and-off relationship with her. On October 22, 2008, the baby boy, popularly called “Lil Tuney” by his family members, was born. Sarah has long moved on with her life and has another daughter, Essence. Either way, she’s still good friends with the rapper.
When Weezy first met Lauren London, she was 15, in the year 1998, the place was the Universal Citywalk in California. There was evidence that the rapper was taken with her in a few of her early songs such as ‘California Love ‘, ‘Young’n Blues’ and her freestyle ‘Frontin’. They are said to have been secretly engaged at one point, but again personal differences got in the way. We’re starting to notice a Weezy pattern here.
The couple, if they can be called that, welcomed a son into the world on September 9, 2009. Baby Cameron Carter was born almost a year after his older brother.
Her most recent baby Mama is singer Nivea B. Hamilton, the two met in 2002 and their relationship blossomed. They even made a song together, called “She Feels Me.” Later that year, their 8-month engagement was announced. Apparently, Weezy wanted to settle down with his first love, Toya, instead, and that’s the last we hear of it.
This obviously had no impact on their friendship7 years later, on November 30, 2009, she gave birth to their last child, Neal Carter. Does anyone else find it a little mind-blowing that he was born just 2 months after his brother Cameron? Even after that, they remain friends. Weezy’s clan is very tight-knit and they’ve all managed to get along.
Lil Wayne’s Girlfriend
With him already having 5 girlfriends in the last year, we have to hand it to the rapper, he’s a lady’s man. Although we are confused as to whether we should congratulate him on how quickly he passes between girlfriends. It would take her all day and another day to get the full recap of her love life. So here’s what we gleaned. We last heard of the star’s love life when he was dating a 19-year-old stripper in May this year. There were several videos of him and a stripper named Royaltee (very classy).
Otherwise, the rapper dated a few notable ladies. After his long engagement with Dhea Sodano ended, Weezy went on to date with Christina Milian, Sylver Karatz, Paris Richards and Patricia Caves. It’s less than a cross section, but that should do it, as it would take more than a few minutes to name them all. Rumor has it that he is back with Dhea Sodano, but only time will tell.
