You may not believe this, but Dwayne MichaelCarter Jr., better known as Lil Wayne, also known as Weezy, is a family man. Yes, the CEO of Young Money Records has more than two children, all from different mothers and was even married once. Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae is the most popular of the lot, but there are three more left and we’re going to meet them all. Well, not in person, just on screen.
Lil Wayne’s Kids
The rapper is a proud father of four children, and as we mentioned earlier, they all have different mothers. The media shows us a lot of teenage mothers and it’s not every day that we see teenage fathers. It makes it almost commendable that he is so open with this aspect of his life, being only 16 when he had his first child. The year was 1998, the date was November 29. Reginae Carter was born to Dwayne Carter and Antonia ‘Toya’ Wright.

Lil Wayne’s daughter, known as Nae Nae, is the only girl in the group. The 17-year-old is obviously following in her father’s footsteps, as she also has musical talent. Over the years, the artist/lyricist has had his fair share of romantic relationships, OK, who’s kidding? He also had the share of the others. His mother, Jacida ‘Cita’ Carter, became pregnant with him when she was 19 and was forced to tie the knot when she was 21.
It was obvious that both parties weren’t too happy because the artist’s biological father abandoned them soon after. This is the reason why the artist removed the “D” from his name and goes by “Wayne”. He has no connection with his biological father and does not want him.
His mother later married a man named Terry, it is clear from some of her words that the first family man tried to be violent and Weezy came to the rescue. Despite the fact that Terry is also gone, he doesn’t hold a grudge and even calls him a “cool guy” in a magazine interview. Cita went on to marry the man Weezy considers her real father, Reginald McDonald, better known as Rabbit.
Rabbit was obviously a good one for them, he moved Wayne and his mother out of Hollygrove east of New Orleans. He’s also one of the main reasons we have ‘Lil Wayne’ today. Weezy’s mom needed some convincing before letting him sign with Cash Money Records. Rabbit was murdered in the hood when the artist was just 13 years old. His death gave Wayne a reason to grow him. Wayne also considers Birdman, Williams, as his father in a God-father type. Birdman owns Cash Money Records, the label that signed the artist at a young age. The two have since maintained a father-son relationship and we have ended this Carter family reunion.
