The brief originates from a dispute filed by four cisgender girls who claim transgender athletes put them at a “competitive disadvantage.”
“Attacks on transgender students violate their rights and will not be accepted,” James said in a written statement.
“We create a fairer, more equitable, and more prosperous society for all when we implement inclusive policies that value every individual’s rights with dignity.”
The law does not discriminate against people based on their gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity, and I will do everything in my power to advocate for equal legal protection for all communities.”
