Beth Behrs is an American film and television actress and writer. She is best known for her role in the CBS comedy series 2 Broken Girls in which she played the role of Caroline Channing. Behrs was widely praised for her show which spanned six seasons and earned her People’s Choice Award and Teen Choice Award nominations.
She was born on December 26, 1985 to David and Maureen Behrs in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. His family consisted of his father, a college administrator, his first-grade teacher mother, and his sister. When she was four years old, her family moved to Lynchburg where she began performing in theatre.
By the age of 16, her family had moved to Behrs.Marin County, California, where she was enrolled in Tamalpais High School. She was accepted into school by the highly respected Tamalpais High drama program in 2001.
After graduating from high school in 2004, she began her studies at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, where she received classical training as a singer and performed in plays. A few of the ones she has starred in include A Bright Room Called Day and The Children of Korczak. She also starred in the musical Floating Conversations: The Music of Simon and Garfunkel. Behrs was named Miss Marin County in 2006.
Behrs soon moved to Los Angeles, California to begin his acting studies at UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television in 2004. Among his theatrical performances at UCLA was a production of Grease at the Ray of Light Theater in San Francisco where she played Sandy Dumbrowski. She earned a BA in Critical Studies in 2008 and, upon graduation, a Young Musician Foundation Vocal Scholarship.
The young actress got her first film role in 2009; it was a role in the movie American Pie. She then starred in an independent comedy, Adventures of Serial Buddies as Brittany which also starred Kathie Lee Gifford, Artie Lange and Christopher Lloyd. She also starred in the alien girl Route 30 (2012), Deborah in Chasing Eagle Rock (2015) and Brooklyn in Hello, my name is Doris (2015).
