Lena Martell (conceived Helen Thomson, 15 May 1940, Possilpark, Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish vocalist, who had a main UK single with “Each Day In turn” in 1979.She had delivered various norms during the 1970s on the Pye record name and drew swarms at men’s clubs. Her front of the tune Each Day In turn, composed by Marijohn Wilkin and Kris Kristofferson, arrived at the UK Singles Diagram for three weeks in November 1979. Her subsequent singles neglected to diagram, so she has the questionable honor of being delegated a one-hit wonder.
She put six collections in the UK Collections Graph somewhere in the range of 1974 and 1980, including four that arrived at the Top 20.Although out of the spotlight for some time nursing her debilitated mother, Martell has now gotten back to the music business, is as yet visiting the UK. She has delivered a couple of collections on the ScotDisc mark. Her twofold collection Each Day In turn: A Treasury of Tune was delivered on Palace Records in 2003.Martell had a medical procedure to supplant a valve in her heart, and in Walk 2008 went through a triple heart sidestep activity.
