Dean Sheremet is well known as the ex-husband of LeAnn Rimes.
Sheremet is an American renowned chef, TV personality, and the author of the healthy hit cookbook, Eat Your Heart Out; which takes the skills learned in a Michelin kitchen and makes them accessible to all.
Born in Dearborn, Michigan, United States, he is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute. Sheremet has worked in the kitchens of Nobu 57 and the 3-Michelin starred Jean Georges. He also has a certificate in food and beverage management from Cornell University.
After spending a decade in the NYC restaurant scene, he moved back to California to star in FOX’s hit show, My Kitchen Rules, and The CW’s Terry Crew Saves Christmas.
Sheremet appears regularly on such shows as Access Hollywood, CBS The Talk, Fox’s Good Day LA, and Hallmark’s Home and Family; he also contributes to Cosmopolitan, US Weekly, and The Daily Meal.
He first met Rimes at the 2001 Academy of Country Music Awards. The pair became engaged in December 2001. They finally tied the knot in 2002 when Rimes was 19 years of age.
In July 2009, the couple separated and in September 2009, Rimes announced their plans to divorce. The divorce was finalized on June 19, 2010, exactly six months after Sheremet filed divorce documents for dissolution of marriage.
