Leah Williamson Illness: What Is Leah Williamson Suffering From?

Leah Williamson was diagnosed with endometriosis last year after suffering from intense period pains, and a concussion injury just before the Euros put her tournament participation in doubt.

The condition, which typically affects one in 10 women, in which cells like the ones in the lining of the womb grow elsewhere in the body, can lead to fatigue, pain and heavy bleeding.

Williamson revealed she was diagnosed with the condition and it particularly caused a great deal of anxiety before England’s game against Norway.

In an interview with Women’s Health magazine, she added that “Before the Euros, I had a concussion, which they can sit can really impact your next period, and it was bad”.

Williamson said she was concerned about it flaring up before England’s semi-finalist against Sweden which they went on to win 4-0.
