Lauren McCrostie Career
McCrostie has always loved to perform, and as a child, she would get her younger sister to join her and put on shows for their parents. McCrostie made her cinematic debut in Carol Morley’s film The Falling, which she auditioned for.
Despite having no formal theater experience, McCrostie was cast as Gwen in Morley’s film, alongside Maisie Williams, Florence Pugh, and Greta Scacchi. Following her appearance in The Falling, McCrostie engaged an acting agency who landed her tryouts for short films and another with Tim Burton.
Following an audition and meeting with Burton, McCrostie was cast as Olive Abroholos Elephanta in the film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, alongside Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell and Samuel L. Jackson.
