Lauren Opal Boebert is an American politician, businesswoman, and gun rights activist. A member of the Republican Party, she serves as the U.S. representative for Colorado’s 3rd congressional district.
From 2013 to 2022, she owned Shooters Grill, a restaurant in Rifle, Colorado, where staff members were encouraged to openly carry firearms.
Boebert is known for her gun rights advocacy, in particular after a confrontation with Beto O’Rourke over the policy on semi-automatic rifles.Boebert is often described as a far-right ally of former president Donald Trump, although she rejects this label.
She advocates for an isolationist foreign policy (but supports closer ties with Israel for religious reasons) and wants to minimize immigration to the United States. A self-described born-again Christian, Boebert has said that she is “tired of this separation of church and state junk” and argued for greater church power and influence in government decision-making.

Kaydon Boebert is the son of American politician and businesswoman Lauren Boebert. His father’s name is Jayson. Kaydon has three sibling siblings – all boys. Kaydon’s brothers’ names are Finn Boebert, Sam Boebert, and Jack Cotton.
The couple’s third son, Kaydon, was born in July 2009 in the front seat of Jayson Boebert’s pickup truck, according to The Aspen Times. “When we got to New Castle my water broke, and I started pushing and couldn’t stop.
By the time we got to the West Glenwood exit, the baby’s head was out,” Lauren Boebert told the newspaper. “I was just trying not to panic.
I was really scared, but I knew I couldn’t be. My body kept pushing, and I couldn’t stop. I caught him and pulled him up to my chest, and told Jayson to just keep going. Everyone was a mess when we pulled up to the ER, not really knowing what to do next.”
