Lasse Svan suffers again with harm: – Of course, it’s annoying
Updated: Jan. 21 2018
Lasse Svan Hansen had to go to the bench on Sunday in the fight against Germany because he suffers a strain.
Two days ago, Lasse Svan Hansen became top scorer against Slovenia – Sunday evening he did not play Germany at all.
It goes without saying that he did not get re-election in Sunday’s match, but the reason is quite clear. Lasse Svan Hansen struggles with a stretch in the area around the ball and therefore he had to look out of the bench in the 26-25 win.
“Today it was not very good. I hope that the next couple of days can give it some peace and we can control it, says Lasse Svan Hansen to TV 2 SPORT.
At the start of the year, Lasse Svan also suffered an injury when he was fired in the final match of Flensburg-Handewitt before the New Year. It kept him out of the Golden League competition before the European Championships.
And now the wing player is struggling with new challenges, but he does not expect it to be so bad this time.
“It’s obviously annoying that I’m just gonna do something again. But I do not think it’s something to take 14 days. I cross my fingers, says Lasse Svan Hansen.
Now Denmark has two rest days before they play Wednesday’s crucial game in the Middle Round against Macedonia. Lasse Svan Hansen both hopes and expects that he can participate in that match.
– I’m confident. It’s not like I feel something’s broken. It is a muscle that is excited. It will not loosen and it pulls me a little back into my back so I do not have much power in my leg, “says Lasse Svan.
Hans Lindberg took advantage of the game time perfectly
In Lasse Svan Hansen’s absence it was Hans Lindberg who played the whole match on the Danish right wing – and that made him perfect.
The Füchse Berlin player thus scored nine times Sunday evening, scoring several crucial goals from both the wing, the counter phase and the penalty shootout. And there was a very special reason that went well.
“I know both goalkeepers (Andreas Wolff and Silvio Heinevetter, ed.), And I think I’m good at Wolff. I was glad that it was him who stood. I have a little bigger trouble with Heinevetter daily in the training, but basically I’m in control of Wolff, says Hans Lindberg to TV 2 SPORT.
Hans Lindberg plays daily in Füchse Berlin, where he is actually team mate with Silvio Heinevetter, who was on the bench on Sunday evening. Hans Lindberg welcomes country coach Christian Prokup’s decision to keep Wolff on track.
“He has played in the Bundesliga for seven seasons and I have never had the big problems with him. I know how he stands, and it was really just relying on it. And it went well today. There were a lot of balls out there and that was great, says Hans Lindberg.
Denmark won the match 26-25 after a match where it was quite the way. Now, Denmark must ‘just’ use a victory over Macedonia to secure a ticket to the semi-finals.
