Lars Ulrich is the drummer for the famous heavy metal band Metallica. With a net worth of $200 million, he is famous for being the bands outspoken drummer and founding member. Formed in 1981, Metallica revolutionized the metal scene throughout the world with their new style of fast and aggressive music, known as thrash metal. Lars is considered as one of thrash metals most influential drummers, with his work on albums such as “Master of Puppets” and “…And Justice For All”.
Metallica entered the mainstream rock scene with their self titled album in 1991 with the album selling over 30 million copies worldwide. Lars is infamously known as the man who led the lawsuit against popular file sharing website Napster for copyright infringment and racketeering. Although he was hated by fans of music around the world for this ordeal, Metallica still grew and became arguably the biggest band in heavy metal. Lars is also a fan of art, owning a large collection of expensive paintings.
