Strongman rivals Larry Wheels and Eddie Hall had a beef going on ever since Wheels supported Thor during a boxing match between him and Hall.
Eddie Hall, who won the 2017 World’s Strongest Man title, is a retired professional strongman.
Hall has won the UK’s Strongest Man title for six consecutive years from 2011 to 2016. He also won the title of England’s Strongest Man in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
Hall lifted 500 Kg at the World Deadlift Championships and set a new world record in July 2016. After winning the 2017 championship, he announced his retirement from the World’s Strongest Man due to health issues.
He returned to boxing where he gained attention for his much-hyped match with Hafthor Bjornsson in September 2021.
Both of them trained hard for their match with Thor doing some training with powerlifter Larry Wheels. He showed his blatant support for Thor and stepped right into the ongoing beef between Thor and Hall.
Larry Wheels And Eddie Hall Beef Explained
Larry Wheels and Eddie Hall’s beef became apparent after the former strongly supported the latter’s rival during their boxing match in September.
Thor went to Wheels for some boxing training before the match. They had a fun session and Wheels was clear he was on Thor’s side.
As per Fitness Volt, Wheels jokingly told Thor to knock the head off of Hall at their match. Later, some fans turned his comment into a poster where Thor is holding the severed head of Hall.
Wheels shared it on his social media which was then reposted by Thor on his Instagram. This was obviously them taking a little smack to Hall.
Needless to say, Hall did not appreciate the action. Hall took to his social media and fired shots at both Wheels and Thor.
The 2017 World’s Strongest Man wrote, “Very sportsmanlike Larry, guess you and Thor clearly have the same attributes.”
He also called out Thor by sharing the same picture on his Instagram and raised questions about his professionalism and sportsmanlike.
