Lance Herndon was killed by his girlfriend in 1996.

A self-made millionaire and eligible bachelor, Lance Herndon passed away at the age of 41. He was killed at the hands of his ladylove, Dionne Baugh.

As a workaholic, when he failed to show up at work one fine day, his family and colleagues got worried for him. 

Thus, his mother checked on him on August 8, 1996, only to find him lying dead: beaten, bloodied, and naked.

As suggested by reports, Lance died due to fatal blows on the back, front, and right side of his head. 

Dionne Baugh Arrest On Lance Herndon Murder 

Lance Herndon had a long suspect list, including his ex-lovers and admirers. However, the police eventually zeroed on in his recent partner, Dionne Baugh.

Dionne Baugh, 27-year-old at the time, was involved in an affair with Lance despite having a husband and a daughter. 

Further exploring, it was revealed that Lance wanted to end things with Dionne. Apparently, this did not go well with the lady. 

In fact, Dionne was seen making a huge scene in front of his home, repeatedly banging on his door just a month before his death. This led Lance to call cops on her. 

Initially, due to a lack of evidence on her, Dionne could not get arrested. However, mother-in-law later claimed that Dionne had confessed to her about the murder. Reportedly, Dionne also admitted to being at Lance’s home on the night of the murder. 

After this statement, Dionne was immediately taken into custody. 

Upon further investigation, her DNA was also found underneath Lance’s fingernails. 

Therefore, Dionne was charged with the murder of Lance Herndon and sentenced to a lifetime in prison. But, she only served ten years.

Where Is Dionne Baugh Now?

After serving her time, Dionne Baugh was released in 2011. It is believed that she relocated to Florida and Kansas for a brief period.

Dionne had initially appealed her case. But, to avoid another public court appearance, she pleaded guilty to a reduced charge, serving ten years in prison and the next ten years on probation. 

Upon her release, Dionne Baugh stayed away from the media attention and is keeping a low profile. 

Besides, when she was arrested for the murder of Lance, she was also in the middle of a divorce. Therefore, we may conclude that her marriage has long since been over.
