L. Q. Jones was an American actor and director. Jones made his acting debut as Justus McQueen in the 1955 movie Battle Cry, which was his real name at the time. Jones was born Justus Ellis McQueen Jr. on August 19, 1927, in Beaumont, Texas, to Jessie Paralee and railroad worker Justus Ellis McQueen Sr..

On July 9, 2022, Jones died at his home in Hollywood Hills, California, at the age of 94. Considering his age, he is suspected to have died of a natural death. However, we still await the results from his autopsy test.
Jones was survived by three children from his marriage in 1950 which attended in 1973 due to reasons not known to the public. They are; Marlin Jones, Marily Jones, and Stephen Jones.
