Kyron Johnson, an American football outside linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League, was born on July 24, 1999. In the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Eagles selected him out of Kansas’ college football program.
Johnson graduated from Arlington, Texas’s Lamar High School. His senior year, he has carried off the field after a game versus North Crowley. Kansas and SMU made offers to Johnson. On June 2, 2016, he made a commitment to Kansas.
Johnson spent much of his first season with the Jayhawks on special teams, where he recorded 17 tackles while participating in 8 games. He started his career as a starter against Nicholls as a sophomore.
Johnson elected to play another season after the 2020 season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic since the NCAA had given athletes an additional year of eligibility as a result of the pandemic. His super-senior year in 2021 saw him awarded to the second-team All-Big 12.
The Philadelphia Eagles selected Johnson in the sixth round (181st overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
