Kylie Masse is a Canadian competition swimmer who started swimming at a young age, for the Windsor Essex Swim team and was coached by Andrei Semenov.
Masse is trained in backstroke. She tied in 100 m backstrokes for the bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In the 100 m backstrokes, Masse is the current world champion, shattering the eight-year-old world record in the process, which she held until July 2018. When winning her title at the World Aquatics Championships in Budapest in 2017, she became the first Canadian woman to become a world champion in a swimming event. Subsequently, she became the first Canadian woman to defend her world title at the World Aquatics Championships in 2019. She is also the holder of the Canadian record in the 100 m back. Masse won gold in the 2015 Summer Universiade 100 m backstrokes and was the year’s 2015-16 CIS swimmer while training at the University of Toronto.

2019: Masse successfully defended her 100 m backstroke title with a time of 0:58.60 at the FINA World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea. 2017: Masse followed her world record with the lead-off backstroke leg of the race in the final of the mixed 4 x 100 m medley. Yuri Kisil anchored the team in the final freestyle leg, leading the team into a bronze tie with the Chinese team.
