Leroy And Agnes Early Life Story

Agnes and Leroy met in Sierra Leone when the civil war broke out in Liberia. In the 1990s, the couple had to abandon their homeland and seek shelter in Sierra Leone.

Agnes was born in 1977 in Liberia. She belonged to the Krahn tribe, an ethnic group based in Liberia and Ivory Coast.

As per the YouTube video posted by NFL Network, Agnes was only 12 years old when the civil unrest consumed Liberia. In 1989, the First Liberian Civil War commenced, and the nation swirled into chaos and terror.

During the time when war came to the Krahn tribe, the people belonging to that tribal group were hunted and killed mercilessly. People had to leave everything and run away from the country to save their lives.

They stayed in the refugee camp in Sierra Leone for seven years. But the war reached the camp, and the rebels attacked them. Unfortunately, Cyrus was killed, and Agnes again had to leave the country.
