- Kuwait tourist visa is issued to individuals who want to travel for tourism, leisure and sight-seeing.
- This visa is also called a visitor visa and is issued for a 90-day stay. It is a singe-entry visa.
- A single-entry visa allows only one entry into Kuwait.
- Holders of this visa can visit friends and families with this visa.
- Visitors to Kuwait are not allowed to take up any form of paid employment.
- Your visa must be sponsored by a resident relative in Kuwait, have the detail faxed and then the applicant can visit any Kuwait embassy for processing and passport stamping.
- Individuals travelling to stay with a relative are required to submit proof of their relationship and contact details of the relative.
- It is illegal to photograph government buildings, military installations, and oil-related infrastructure. Ask for permission before photographing people. Some women find being photographed offensive and may report the incident to local police.

- You are required to have a minimum of $30 to spend per day in Kuwait and it should be enough to cover the duration of the trip.

- This visa can be multiple-entry which allows several entries into Kuwait for up to 1 year.
- You are required to provide proof of your accommodation for the entire stay period in Kuwait.
- Inviting Kuwait company is expected to send a letter of invitation to the applicant stating the type of business to be carried out, duration of the business and details of the company.
- If the inviting company would sponsor the trip, it should be stated in the letter.
- A sponsor is required if the company will not sponsor the trip and a signature of the sponsor would be required.
- Proof of previous trade relations between both parties is required if there is any.
- Self-employed persons should submit a copy of their business registration certificate and proof of up-to-date tax payments.
- If you are employed, your employment letter, a letter from your employer stating your position at work, your monthly wages and that you are on an official leave should be presented along with the other required documents.
- Applicants are to have a certificate of good health showing that the applicant is free from any contagious disease.
- Individuals with criminal records will not be granted a Kuwait visa.
