Kirsty Young Illness Secondary Fibromyalgia Condition And Health Update

Kirsty Young Illness- She Has Secondary Fibromyalgia Condition

In 2018, Kirsty Young was diagnosed with secondary fibromyalgia, a disorder that causes persistent pain throughout the body and leaves sufferers exhausted. Rheumatoid arthritis was also discovered in her system.

She described the excruciating pain she had experienced in an interview with The Sunday Times Magazine, in which she talked publicly for the first time about her ailment.

The 53-year-old said she felt like she’d been hit with a baseball bat, but she sought to keep the severity of her illness hidden from her children, only telling her husband Nick Jones, the founder of the Soho House members’ club, about it.

Kirsty, who will front the BBC’s coverage of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, confessed that quitting her role as host of Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in 2019 was ‘obviously the only option.’

Kirsty Young Health Update In 2022

Kirsty Young wasn’t sure if she’d be able to work again, but she’s helping out with the BBC’s Jubilee coverage. The 53-year-old described it as a “one-of-a-kind moment” that she “could not avoid” participating in.

She has been able to get off most of her medications thanks to specialized support and a simpler lifestyle.

She claimed that she encountered the “wrong medics” and “wrong drugs” during her recovery efforts, which hampered her recovery.

She also stated that due to her health issues, she had no choice but to leave Desert Island Discs.

She hasn’t listened to the show since, which is currently hosted by Lauren Laverne, because she was upset about having to leave her position.

Huw Edwards, Clare Balding, AJ Odudu, Roman Kemp, and Anita Rani will be among the presenters.

Jermaine Jenas will be reporting from Buckingham Palace, Gethin Jones from Wales, Carol Kirkwood from Scotland, and Holly Hamilton from Northern Ireland.

On June 4, Kirsty and Kemp will anchor coverage of the Platinum Party at the Palace. Famous figures from the entertainment industry will appear for a night of musical tributes to commemorate the Jubilee.

The Platinum Pageant will be held as part of the festivities, and Kirsty will be joined by a number of presenters, including Anton Du Beke from Strictly Come Dancing.

The pageant will bring together artists, dancers, musicians, military people, vital workers, and volunteers from across the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth to portray the story of the Queen’s reign in a creative celebration.
