Like most child actors, Storm started out doing commercials, her first being for Galoob Baby Doll. By age 11, Storm’s professional acting career had begun. She made her debut with a recurring role as Ashley on Second Noah. A very promising prospect, Storms soon moved with her family to the heart of the film industry – Los Angeles, California.

“One of the first agents I had,” I said, “when I grow up I’m going to be on a soap opera. You can get me commercials and stuff now, but what I really want to do someday is be on a soap opera. ‘[…] No one took me seriously. But I knew that even though I hadn’t watched any, it was something I had always wanted to do. ”

In 2001, at the age of 15, Storms was already a star. Disney cast her to play the title character in their 2001 original film, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century. Disney made the right call when the film became their highest rating at the time. His role won him the Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Child Actor, as well as the Young Artist Award for Best Show in a TV Drama Series: Best Young Actress.

After 5 seasons, Storms left the soap opera for the television series Clubhouse. A year later, Storms landed the series regular role Maxie Jones on another soap opera, General Hospital. In 2009, she earned an Emmy Award nomination for her role in GH for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

“It was not a hasty decision; a lot of thought and therapy went into that. We went to therapy for a long time, trying to figure out how to communicate better with each other. It’s not something we dislike about each other,” Storms told Soap Opera Digest.

Her ex Barash also said; “We are parting because of cliche irreconcilable differences, but we are parting amicably. We fully intend to remain a family through this, to successfully co-educate our child and maintain a friendship with the goal of raising him in a healthy environment. “

Fortunately, Storms was able to beat the disease. She revealed she was surprised to learn she was pregnant as endometriosis is often associated with infertility.

Storms was forced to take another time off from the show in May 2016 due to a skin condition and stress. She revealed this on Twitter saying:

Much to the dismay of fans, Stroms picked up a third one from around 2017. This time around, followers started stalking her with many people accusing her of being a drug addict, likely due to the incident of 2007 occurred on a Los Angeles freeway when she was pulled over for drunk driving before being placed on probation. However, Storms was quick to respond to his fans claiming his time off was due to his issues with depression.

“I actually suffer from severe depression. But kudos to you for being cool enough to tag me in this. #keeptrollin,” she fired back at a fan.

In another response, Storms revealed she was doing better;

“…I recently mentioned on Twitter that I was suffering from severe depression. If you or someone you know has had to deal with this, know that it can be a difficult time in life. I’ve been doing much better lately and can’t wait to get back to work soon. “

She returned and in late 2017 resumed her role at General Hospital.

Explaining why she had to let fans know about her depression, Storms said;

“Depression is something that a lot of people suffer from. maybe not as harshly as me but with the number of fans following me i thought there had to be a few who were going through this and even mothers who had been through postpartum stuff and could relate to this feeling of righteousness. not being able to help you. Having a daughter, in particular, made me change my life for the better. And I wanted people to know why I was improving.
