Kimberly Kay Richey Net Worth, Income, Salary, Earnings, Biography

Kimberly Kay “Kim” Richey (born 1956 in Zanesville, Ohio) is a singer/songwriter from the United States of America. Despite the fact that her music falls within the broad country music genre, her sound is difficult to define. Her songs have charted on both the country and mainstream charts, and she has sold millions of albums worldwide. She has been referred to as a “Americana” artist on many occasions. With her self-titled first album, she had her first country success by “Just My Luck,” which was followed up with “Those Words We Said” the following year (which was also covered that same year by Trisha Yearwood). Bitter Sweet, her second studio album, was released in 1996 and had a more pop-oriented sound. On the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s episode “Never Kill A Boy On The First Date” in 1997, she sang the song “Let the Sun Fall Down,” which was taken from her first album (episode 1.05). Despite the fact that Richey did not perform live in the episode (as Velvet Chain did), her song was played over the emotional conclusion of the storey in the final scene, which brought the show to a close. It was used in the 1999 film “For Love of the Game,” which starred Kevin Costner, Kelly Preston, and John C. Reilly, to perform the song “Come Around,” which was taken from her album “Glimmer.” She has also achieved considerable success as a composer for other people.

The song “Nobody Wins” was written in collaboration with Radney Foster, while the song “Believe Me Baby (I Lied)” was written in collaboration with Trisha Yearwood. Maura O’Connell recorded a cover version of her song “Every River.” Ryan Adams’ first album Heartbreaker, released in 2000, included the song “Come Pick Me Up,” which Richey sang background vocals on. In 2003, her track “A Place Called Home” was featured in Dawson’s Creek on season 6, episode 21. In 2004, her track “Shells” was featured in episode 16 of season 5, “Shells,” of the Angel television series, as well as the season 2, episode 6 of the Alias television series, “Salvation.” In 2005, her track “Shells” was featured in episode 16 of season 5, “Shells,” of the Angel television series, as well as the season 2, episode 6 of Later, the song was included on the Angel soundtrack, which was titled Live Fast Die Never. In conjunction with the release of her new song “Jack and Jill,” her album Chinese Boxes was released on July 10, 2007. She performed in Washington, D.C., on July 7, 2007, as part of Live Earth. The album “Wreck Your Wheels” was published in the year 2010. Kim Richey returned to the United States after three years spent in England with her family. Richey has continued to play and has published a new album, “Thorn In My Heart.”
