Kobe Heisler was a young man of 21 years old at the time of his death.
He had autism spectrum and had a history of mental health issues.
The young man had pulled a knife and a hammer on his grandfather and the frightened senior citizen had dialed 911 on August 31, 2019.
Heisler had calmed down before the arrival of the police. To ensure everyone’s safety the group of police officers including Potter went inside the house to check on everyone.

That was when two officers shot the young man while Potter remained one of the witnesses.
