Kim Kardashian in Marilyn Monroe dress

Kimberly Kardashian is an American socialite, model, media personality, and businesswoman.

She first gained media attention as a friend and stylist of Paris Hilton but received wider notice after the sex tape Kim Kardashian, Superstar, shot in 2002 with her then-boyfriend Ray J, was released in 2007.

After the Met, Gala carpet had cleared and the fashionable festivities were over, Kim wore another Marilyn Monroe dress.

ICYMI, the star wore Marilyn’s famous sheer dress on the Met Gala carpet. She later changed into a replica, as the real dress, worn in 1962, was far too precious for an entire night of wear.

The 60-year-old garment was designed for Monroe, who wore it back in 1962 when she famously sang “Happy Birthday” to then-President John F. Kennedy.

The garment was loaned to Kardashian by Ripley’s Believe it or Not!, who purchased the gown for a whopping $4.8 million at a 2016 auction.
