Edward Jordan, better known by his stage name Kidd Jordan, was an American jazz saxophonist, composer, and teacher.
One of the most significant figures in avant-garde jazz, he was born in Crowley, Louisiana, on May 5, 1935.
He has worked with some of the greatest jazz musicians throughout his career, like as William Parker, Cecil Taylor, and Ornette Coleman.
A number of recordings featuring Jordan’s distinct playing style, which incorporates elements of free jazz, swing, and blues, have also been published under his own name.
Particularly for jazz musicians, financial rewards might be modest, and many depend on playing, teaching, and recording to support themselves.
