Kevin Turen, a producer who worked on films including Malcolm and Marie and Waves and whose work in television included HBO’s Euphoria and The Idol, has died at the age of 44. His father Edward Turen confirmed his sudden passing to Deadline.

Kevin Turen sadly passed away in November 2023, at age 44. Turen’s father, Edward, confirmed his son’s death and told Deadline: “Kevin was so incredibly special, this world is going to be less without him.”
As of November 13, 2023, his cause of sudden death has not been released. Turen’s death comes just months after Euphoria star Angus Cloud died at the age of 25.
His cause of death was confirmed as an accidental overdose. The Netflix star had buried his father one week before and “struggled intensely” with the loss of his “best friend”.
He was also an executive producer on The Idol, the show starring Abel Tesfaye – otherwise known as The Weeknd – and Lily-Rose Depp.
