Kenny Pickett was born to his parents, Ken and Kasey Pickett, in Oakhurst, New Jersey. Kenny Pickett grew up with his sister, Alex Pickett. He has followed in his father, Ken’s footsteps by playing college football; however, he wants to go even farther – into the NFL, something his father never did.
Ken was a linebacker at Shippensburg University in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and he was chosen to the All-America Second Team in his senior year.
After Ken’s standout defensive efforts, he was also nominated for the Harlon Hill Award, the Division II equivalent of the Heisman Trophy, which Kenny has been shortlisted for.
The Hall of Famer later went into business, but Ken remained in the New Jersey/Pennsylvania area. Kasey, his mother, used to be a collegiate athlete as well.
Pickett completed 18 of 29 throws for 193 yards and two touchdowns in the team’s shock victory.
