Dodd was born to her father Frank Meza and mother Bobbi Meza. Frank was charged with an assault back in March 1992. A clip of Judge talking to fellow castmate Beador surfaced the internet and Judge can be heard telling Beador, “She pushed her mother down the stairs.” Dodd, however, admitted to having had an argument with her mother but she states it did not result in an argument.

She was raised alongside her brother, Eric Meza in Scottsdale, Arizona. Kelly does not maintain a healthy relationship with her brother and as she quoted Eric is an angry and jealous person, who tries to ruin her family.
