Soon after their relocation to New York, Patric met and married agent Paul Aaron and relocated to Toronto, where both took up Canadian citizenship. They broke up less than a year later and Patric went on to marry rock promoter Robert Miller and, in 1976, gave birth to Keanu’s second half-sister, Karina. Patric divorced for another period and married her third partner, Robert Miller, the director of the hair salon, from whom she divorced in 1994. Faced with this reality, Keanu later continues to identify himself as a “middle-class white boy. A bourgeois, middle-class white boy with an absent father, a strong-willed mother, and two beautiful younger sisters.”
Enrolled from kindergarten through eighth grade at the Jesse Ketchum Public School in Toronto, Keanu went on to four separate high schools, including De La Salle College and Toronto School of Performing Arts, until dropping out entirely at the age of 17 to follow his acting career at the end. “He was not very passionate regarding academics in high school, but he took a particular interest in ice hockey that his high school hockey team called him “The Wall” goalie. In addition to being an enthusiastic hockey enthusiast, he was involved in theater as well. And maybe he’s just a hard worker, since he worked on a number of various jobs during his childhood, including sharpening skates at an ice rink store, landscaping, and preparing pasta. And still, Keanu might be a successful Hollywood film actor in the future.
As faith will have it, Keanu soon afterwards appeared on TV movies in several stage gigs and bit pieces. After all, in the Rob Lowe hockey flick “Youngblood” (1986), which was shot in Canada, he might positively gain a supporting part. Keanu relocated to Hollywood shortly after the development was finished, where he exploded on the radar of critics with his role in the dark teen drama “River’s Edge” (1986). For the part of completely rad dude Ted Logan he portrayed in the 1989 movie “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” the actor finally earned his very first fame. Sad to note that the role has inspired Keanu’s subsequent representation of several other distinct films in several respects. In order to get out of this shame, he pushed himself to be interested in a number of high-brow ventures in the next few years. First, in “My Own Private Idaho” (1991), Keanu played a slumming rich kid opposite the narcoleptic male hustler of River Phoenix, Keanu proceeded to play an unfortunate lawyer who in “Dracula” (1992) and Shakespearean party pooper Don Jon in “Much Ado About Nothing” stumbles into the vampire’s lair (1993).
About the fact that his acting has always been mocked as wooden, Keanu has actually been able to be a big box-office draw and has become immensely successful in many of his films. It was in 1994 that, with the release of Pace, he became a big-budget action star (1994). This was just the beginning of the beginning until he would alternate in films such as “Feeling Minnesota” (1996), “The Last Time I Committed Suicide” (1997), “Johnny Mnemonic” (1995), and “Chain Reaction” in the subsequent years (1996). Keanu reached the box office with the “Speed” cyberadventure of the Wachowski brothers a few years after he dropped the “The Matrix” sequel (1999). He continued playing in his two sequels, “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolutions” both box office successes, reinforcing his role as Neo in that movie. In reality, the accomplishment awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame to this left-handed performer, which he proudly earned on January 31, 2005.
