KB(rapper)  is an American songwriter, record producer, and rapper. He is best known as Christian hip hop rapper and artist from St. Petersburg Florida. beyond that, KB is the chief manager of the hip-hop group HGA and was signed as a solo artist to Reach Records in 2010. KB’s birth name is Kevin Elijah Burgess

In addition to that, KB(rapper) is also a crew member of the Reach Records-based hip-hop collective 116 Clique. His first album was Weight & Glory, which he released in July 2012, before that, He released a  mixtape in 2011 entitled Who Is KB?. Burgess released his second album entitled ”Tomorrow We Live”. October 20, 2017, was the release of his third album, Today We Rebel. He released his first song on March 4, 2014, the name of is ” 100”

Burges is currently, 31 years old, born in St. Petersburg in Florida, on July 21, 1988. KB was primarily raised in the southern side of St. Petersburg. He moved to the south side with his mother after the divorce. Nevertheless, he also lived in Southern Ilinois for almost eight years.

He was born in St. Petersburg, Florida into a military family. He soon moved to  Southern Illinois with his family where he primarily grew for eight years. KB’s parents divorced while he still a young boy, the divorce forced him to relocate back to the south-side of St. Petersburg with his mother. Burgess was good in school, he performed well in school curriculums, therefore, he was given a chance to pursue college through a program called St. Petersburg Collegiate High School

Even though he was granted an opportunity to pursue college, KB(rapper) wrestled with serious depression, this made him engaged in drug abuse to try to ease the pain of depression. KB’s school performance began degrading due to the situation he was going through. The depression made him give up in life, but KB’s life was turned around when Jeremy offered him a CD. The CD contained Gospel preachings

Immediately after finishing high school, he enrolled in Bible college and organized a group of Christian rappers and together they formed a hip hop group called HGA. In fact, KB(rapper) made the group earned attention across the country, therefore, it caught the interest of many Christian rappers like Tedashii, Ben Washer, Lecrae, and DJ Official. Besides that, KB was invited onto the “Acquire the Fire” tour by Lecrae and was asked to join the Reach Records team just a few months later, but before that, he was featured with Tedashii on the track “Go” from DJ Official’s album entermission.

In 2010 Burgess was signed by Reach Record and earned a chance to appear on the fourth studio album by  Lecrae ” Rehab”. KB’s mixtape Who is KB? followed a year later. Tedashii and Derek Minor were featured in the mixtape. However, the mixtape garnered  30,000 downloads by the following year. Burgess’s first single was released in October, the track featured Gospel artist Suzy Rock, the name of track ” Hello”. In the following year, he collaborated with Chris Lee Cobbins on the released of his second single ” Zone Out”.

His third track ”Go Off” featured Andy Mineo and Tedashii, the track was released in June. Early additional, KB made an appearance with Andy Mineo on the Trip Lee’s fourth studio album ” The Good Life”

Reach Records announced a four-part project entitled ”1st & 16 on May 30, 2013. before that, Burgess released his first album” Weight & Glory”. The album was released on July 2013. Reach Records announcement project would consist of Burgess releasing a new song every first and sixteenth of June and July. On June 1, Part 1, HCB Freestyle was released. His song Ride and Be All Right was also included in the 1st and 16th project.

KB announced his brand new song entitled”100” which was released on March 4, 2014. The following year, KB  took to social media to reveal his second studio album, Tomorrow We Live, along with the cover and release date. His first single album ” Sideways” was released on February 23, 2015, featuring Lecrae. It was back to back released of KB’s single tracks

The second single “Crowns & Thorns (Oceans)” was released on March 10, 2015. However, he released his third studio album Today We Rebel on October 20, 2017. KB’s The first single off the album “Tempo” was released a year before the  album’s release date The second single off the album “Monster” featuring Aha Gazelle was released on September 15, 2017
