Pete Best net worth: Pete Best is a British musician who has a net worth of $600 thousand. Pete Best is one of the very rare few people who became famous for a job they were fired from, rather than any accomplishments before or since. Pete Best is famous for being the original drummer for The Beatles. He was fired just before the band’s unbelievable rise to fame and success. Best got the job as the band needed a drummer for a trip to Hamburg, and Best was the only suitable drummer they could find. He was known as a “steady drummer,” meaning he was able to play on all four beats, which drove the rhythm of the band’s raucous performances. After a successful audition for a record label, the reasons for Best’s dismissal from the band are shrouded in myth. One story has it that the other members of The Beatles were jealous of Pete’s good looks, as he was sometimes called the best looking member of the band during those early years. Another story has it that producer George Martin preferred to use a session drummer instead of Best, as he lacked experience. Whatever the reason for his dismissal, it put Pete Best on a sad path of infamy – during the height of “Beatlemania,” he reportedly attempted suicide. He’s had a bit of a career resurgence of late, recording music and appearing in a handful of TV specials and commercials. See also:Paul McCartney Net WorthRingo Starr Net Worth
