Born Kayla Danette Kisor in Etowah County, Alabama, USA, Kayla first appeared in this world on April 26, 1961. She comes from a strong political background and is the daughter of Mack A. Kisor and his wife, Dell McDonald Kisor. She spent her early years in the Gadsden area of Etowah, where she attended Southside High School. At the time, she was classmates with Beverly Young.
During her teenage years, Kayla competed in beauty pageants including Miss Alabama USA, Miss Alabama World, and Miss Alabama US Teen. Although she didn’t win any of these contests, the young and charming Kayla finished second in the Miss Teen Alabama US beauty pageant. After being a successful business, Kayla Moore and her husband Roy founded a non-profit organization in 2013 called Foundation for Moral Law. Roy was born on February 11, 1947 in Gadsden City, Alabama. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in 1969 and was discharged in 1974 with his captain designation. Subsequently, he enrolled at the University of Alabama Law School where he obtained a Juris Doctorate in 1977.
Kayla Moore’s husband has held several positions in the United States; he first worked as an assistant prosecutor. He was then appointed chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court in 2001, but was abruptly removed two years later following a showdown in federal court. Kayla’s husband also ran for senator in a bid to replace the outgoing Jeff Sessions in 2017. He was, however, defeated by Democrat Doug Jones.
Kayla and Roy first met while performing at a dance recital as teenagers in the mid-80s. The couple initially felt a connection, but nothing happened between them until until they met for the second time at a Christmas party in 1984. Unfortunately for Roy, Kayla was married at the time, but he didn’t dissuade her at all. When Kayla started facing problems in her marriage, she filed for divorce from her then-husband. Their divorce was finalized in 1985 and the same year she walked down the aisle with Roy.
Their wedding took place on December 14, 1985 and was honored by their friends and family members. This amazing couple have been together for over three decades.
