Katy Keene is a fictional character of the Riverdale Spin-off series Katy Keene. The character is portrayed by Lucy Hale who has also starred in Life Sentence, pretty Little Liars and Baby Daddy. Katy Keene is an aspiring fashion designer who together with her friends chase their dreams in New York City. Katy designs clothes for her friends or just anyone willing to wear her design. She juggles the new York Life independently while navigating through love and friendship in the big city.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa in August 2018 revealed that a spin-off of Riverdale was in works and would be very different from Riverdale. The CW issued an official pilot order for the potential series, Katy Keene on January 2019 that will follow the lives and love of four Archie comics Characters including fashion legend-to-be Katy Keene — as they pursue their dreams in their early twenty’s years in New York City. This musical dramedy portrays the origins and struggles of four aspiring artists trying to make it on Broadway, on the runway, and in the recording studio.
Katy Keene Synopsis.
The series portrays the lives four friends-fashion legend-to-be Katy Keene (Lucy Hale), singer/songwriter Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), performer Jorge Lopez/Ginger (Jonny Beauchamp), and Pepper Smith (Julia Chan) — as they chase their dreams in their early twenties in New York City together. Josie’s singing talent gets noticed by Alexander Cabot (Lucien Laviscount), a CEO who hopes to reboot the record label division of his father’s corporate empire. However, Alexander’s dream of signing Josie to a recording contract meets resistance from his twin sister Alexandra, who is Cabot Media’s senior vice president.
Josie and Jorge work at his family’s bodega and has his eye on Broadway, but after a series of denials, he aspires to take his drag performance career as Ginger to the next level. The strange Pepper Smith plans to open her own version of Andy Warhol’s Factory. She has the connections, but no one seems to know where she got her money — or if she really has any at all. Katy strives to handle the pressures of her day job at Lacy’s Department Store and her very demanding boss, Gloria(Katherine LaNasa), who is a legendary personal shopper. But Katy has the support of her longtime boyfriend, Ko Kelly (Zane Holtz), who has his own dream of becoming a professional boxer. As these ambitious artists juggle between modeling, music, Broadway, and the NYC social scene, they will realize they have their friendship to lean on apart from their careers.

The CW released the first official trailer for Katy Keene on 16th May 2019 but has not yet set the official date for the series to be aired. We will keep you updated when the official date is announced.
