Kathleen Noble is a murder victim who finally got justice after almost 13 years. Her killer Mark Hensley has been taken into custody and convicted to 25 years to life in prison.
The victim, Kathleen Noble, was an ordinary girl who used to live with her roommate Mark. When she went to a dinner party with her partner Richard Schaeffer, the couple got into a fight, and she left the house and went somewhere.
Ever since the day Kathleen fought and drove away. She didn’t even go to school, which made their friends and family suspicious of her sudden disappearance.
The murderer, Hensley, was located and returned to San Mateo County after being found in Williamsburg, Virginia. The trial was held in the Redwood City courthouse in May 2002. The circumstantial evidence, combined with the ex-detailed fiancée’s testimony, resulted in a guilty finding of first-degree murder and a 25-year sentence.
Soon after, Hensley won a triumph when the ruling was amended to second-degree murder, and he was convicted to 15 years to life in prison. He is subject to release at any time.

Kathleen Noble Murder Case Update
Kathleen Noble was killed in 1989, but it took nearly 12 years for her justice, and her murderer Mark Hensley has finally been arrested.
The victim’s body was discovered on the 1600 block of Woodland Avenue in East Palo Alto on March 5, 1989. Her body was crammed into her automobile and draped in blankets from her bed, leading authorities to suspect she had returned home after the dinner party and been murdered there.
Crime scene investigators discovered blood streaks in the bedroom, lending credence to this theory. Suspicion then landed on Noble’s roommate. During the following interview, he changed his testimony about whether Kathleen was at their apartment when she went missing.
However, due to the magnitude of other cases that taxed the limited resources of local law enforcement, the investigation went cold. There were 18 murders in the same year that Kathleen died, 1989.
Where Is Mark Hensley Now In 2022?
Mark Hensley was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison and is serving his punishment in San Quentin State Prison in 2022.
Mark was arrested ten years later for the brutal murder of his roommate, Kathleen Noble. A severe drug crisis was ongoing at that time, leading to the delay in solving Noble’s case. The other factor that affected the issue was the lack of proper evidence, as police could not link the dots.
However, after a decade on Noble’s tenth death anniversary, police finally found some hard evidence against Hensley and arrested him. Oxygen True Crime featured an episode on Kathleen’s murder in 2020. For more details on the case, including audio of Hensley’s interviews with the detectives, head to Oxygen.com.
Kathleen Noble Wikipedia, Age And Family Bio
Kathleen Noble was a girl who lived with her family in Mountain View in Santa Clara County. Her age was only 23 years old when she got murdered. Her bio is yet to be featured on the official Wikipedia page.
She lived in Santa Clara County’s Mountain View. Still, her abused body was discovered in East Palo Alto, prompting San Mateo County legal authorities to become involved in the decades-long investigation into Kathleen Noble’s gruesome death.
The victim attended an informal dinner party with her boyfriend, Richard Schaeffer, on February 24, 1989. After an argument, Kathleen stormed out of the house and drove away. It would be the last time everyone saw her alive except her assassin.
She failed to show up for work or school the following days, which was unusual for her. Schaeffer responded to the news of his girlfriend’s disturbing disappearance by going on an extended ski trip, which drew the attention of law enforcement.
In addition to Schaeffer, Kathleen’s coworker and roommate, Mark Hensley, was also a suspect in the authority’s eyes.
