Kate Maltby – Damian Green Controversy
Kate Maltby and Damian Green controversy are flooding the internet.
Maltby recalled an encounter with Damian Green when she came across sexual harassment and abuse allegations leveled against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.
Damian is 30 years elder to Kate whom she has met in a London pub two years ago according to the Times. They had discussed her career as well as sexual affairs in the Parliament.
According to Kate, Green had put “a fleeting hand against her knee – so brief, it was almost deniable” and said that his wife was “very understanding”.
This encounter with Green left Kate so “angry” that he was “hitting on her when he offered a job”. She ignored him for a year.
Later, Maltby received a text from Mr. Green saying long time no see. He said that he admired her in a corset in his favorite tabloid that he felt compelled to her for a drink together.
Kate ignored the message and only contacted Damian after he became a minister in Mrs. May’s new cabinet on 17th July last year. She congratulated him on his appointment.
Days after the allegations, police found “extreme pornography” on Mr. Green’s computer in 2008. It was during a raid over Home Office leaks. Green defended himself saying that he had never made any sexual advances on Kate.
However, Green admitted what he had done and apologized to Kate for making her feel uncomfortable.
