After Ms. Greville accused Giggs of flirting with other women, the court heard that he kicked her in the back and threw her out of a five-star hotel bedroom while she was still undressed.
The Welshman is also accused of assaulting Emma Greville, her younger sister, that same day. In November 2020, Giggs was detained by the police at his residence and later freed on bail. At his initial court appearance in April of last year, he entered a not guilty plea and rejected the accusations.

The football player went back home after Kate told her sister Emma that she was leaving him, and the two started fighting, the jury heard. He stated: “The discussion got heated. Attempting to seize her phone.”
In the process, Wright stated that Giggs pushed Ms. Greville to the ground, hurting her arm. He said that as they were fighting on the ground, Emma, her sister, entered the fight, and he elbowed her.
