Who Are Kate Abdo Parents?
What Does Kate Abdo Do On CBS Sports?
CBS Host Kate Abdo Parents – Both Father & Mother Are Huge Soccer Fans
It might be intriguing for everyone to know that Kate’s interest in sports was the result of her family, especially her parents’ love for soccer. Her parents are huge soccer fans and always keep themselves updated about it.
In fact, Kate had invited her father, Tom Aldo, to speak on her show on April 30, 2021’s broadcast.
She had introduced him as the biggest Manchester United fan whose long years of knowledge of the club made the show enjoyable that day. Mr. Aldo shared his profound knowledge on the spot while Kate and her guests listened to him quietly.
Meanwhile, many of Kate’s fans have demanded she bring her father back to the screen for the second time.
On the other hand, Kate’s mother and Mrs. Aldo have mainly stayed behind the camera, unlike her husband.
Despite her private nature, she continues to share her love for football with her husband and famous daughter at home. While it is rare for the elderly Aldo couple to be a part of a public event, they have some time to give in to their daughter’s demand.
Hence, Tom appeared on Kate’s show while Mrs. Aldo only agreed to click a selfie with Kate on Instagram.
The blended Aldo family are huge soccer fans, mainly of the Manchester United F.C. since both parties hail from Manchester.
Since Tom is a Caucasian and his wife is African-British, the famed CBS host is of mixed ethnicity. She has earned a loyal fanbase out of America, while being far away from her parents and home in England.
FIFA Ballon d’Or Host Kate Abdo Net Worth In 2022 Is Quite Impressive

A regular sportscaster on CBS Sports, she has bagged some big projects throughout the years. She is well known for hosting the FIFA Ballon d’Or and Laureus World Sports Awards numerous times.
One of the hit segments of the 2014 FIFA Ballon d’Or was Kate speaking with contestants and guests in four languages. Her knowledge of various languages made her a quick star host that year.
Being a woman of such caliber in the sports media industry, Abdo has been able to secure more than $1 million in net worth from her career all along.
Her impressive work background in several countries where she spoke various languages is one of the reasons behind her success.
Meanwhile, being a veteran in the industry, Ms. Abdo’s millionaire status stays out of doubt for everyone.
Not only a million, the former Fox Sports host is worth more than that due to her jaw-dropping work hours and paying figures.
UEFA Champions League Host Kate Abdo Bags Thousand Dollars In Salary From CBS
While Kate has refrained from speaking on the precise figures of her net worth, the same goes for her salary from CBS.
As a renowned sports broadcaster of the media company, she takes away some huge numbers every month.
Likewise, CBS happens to be one of the biggest media companies and is known for playing its reporters well. Payscale confirms that CBS News pays its employees an average of $69,501 annually.
Herald Weekly reported that Bill Macante and Tom Heinsohn are some of the CBS sports hosts whose salary ends in million per year.
As Kate is a part of the same industry and company, she too falls on the list of some of the highest-paid sports broadcasters. While she is a veteran in the industry, Kate only joined the CBS workforce in 2020.
Thus, she is climbing the ladder of success in the company and is happy with her work. Other than football, Abdo also works for DAZN’s boxing coverage.
