She started her professional journey in September 2001 and joined Univision Communication as a freelance Publicist. She was employed at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. She worked at Univision’s radio stations and hosted events, including public relationship coordination.
After leaving the business in 2003, Mrs. Makinen joined Level One Interactive in January 2004 as an account executive. She oversaw several campaigns, including one for Children International, helped with lead generation program development and strategy, and acquired web advertising.

Karl Makinen was born to his parents Karl Makinen Sr and Marilyn Makinen. Makinen came from mixed cultures and spent his childhood on Long Island.
Karl has three brothers, and he is the youngest of four boys. His brothers are Michael Makinen, Shawn Makinen, and Josef Makinen.
He was the most competitive kid out of the three brothers during his childhood. Karl first showed his acting talent to his great-grandmother, who used to laugh at every one of his jokes, even at the age of ninety.
‘The Walking Dead’ actor has two wonderful children with his wife Victoria; one son and one daughter. Their daughter’s name is Etta Makinen, and she is thirteen years old as of 2023, based on Victoria’s birthday post about her daughter in 2015 when she turned six.
Similarly, their son is named Connor Makinen. Victoria posted a beautiful picture of Connor on his first day of school on 2 December 2015 on her Facebook account.
