Edward Kalekezi Kayihura popularly known as Kale Kayihura is a Ugandan military general, former policeman, and lawyer. He was once the Inspector General of Police of the Ugandan Police force before graduating into the military and now a Military General.
Kale Kayihura was born on 26 December 1955 in Uganda to Johnson Komuluyange Kalekezi, a Ugandan who was involved in the fight for that nation’s independence, and Catherine Mukarwamo.
Kale Kayihura started schooling in a primary school in Kisoro District and then went to high school at Mutolere Secondary School at Mutolere. He then enrolled in St. History Mary’s College Kisubi for his advanced level education.
Kale Kayihura, after graduation from the university in 1982, joined the National Resistance Army, a rebel outfit that fought the regime of milton Obote II and captured power in 1986. Kale Kayihura has since grown in the military and has served passionately in the military forces and gained so many ranks. Kale has also served as an Inspector General of Police in 2005 before joining the military.
Kale Kayihura Appointment
In July 2020, Kale Kayihur was appointed by the president to be the Cordinator of Security Intelligence after facing several court charges on abusive use of his authority. However, President Museveni, upon delivering this office to General Kale Kayihura, entreated him to harmonize CMi and ISO to avoid future clashes. Following the appointment of General Kale Kayihura as the Cordinator of Security Intelligence, the military and close associates of Kayihura have denied knowledge of the development.
Kale Kayihura Current Job
Kale Kayihura has been appointed by the President H.E Museveni to be the Cordinator of Security Intelligence in July 2020. He is now currently serving in the office given him by President Museveni.

General Kale Kayihura has a son, Kale Rudahigwa, a Lawyer who graduated from the University of Buckingham in the UK. He is very close to his father Kale Kayihur and runs his father’s estate.
Kale Kayihura Wife Angella Kayihura
Kale Kayihura is married to Angella Kayihura and is blessed with two children, Kale Rudahigwa, and Tesi Uwinbambe. Angella is a Kenyan who is a Rwandese descent. She is the granddaughter of Rufahigwa, the last king of the pre-independence Rwanda.
