Juncal Diez is the beautiful spouse of Spanish-born professional football manager and former player Ernesto Valverde. 

Valverde is the former Athletic Bilbao, Espanyol, Villarreal, Valencia , and Barcelona manager. 

During his three years at the helm of Barcelona, Valverde successfully led Barca to La Liga titles in 2018 and 2019. 

As a former player, he played as a forward for several clubs, including Espanyol, Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao, and Mallorca. 

He has been out of work since being dismissed from his managerial post at Barcelona.

In a marital bond for more than two decades

Juncal and Ernesto have been married for more than two decades and are still together as a married couple.

In an interview, Ernesto confessed being a father of three children feels to be more adventurous than going to Greece to coach and also added he and Juncal did not stop doing things and used to go out with them with all the bags, chairs when they were between 2 to 7.

Is Valverde the next Manchester United Coach?

Manchester United is currently searching for a new interim coach after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.  

Since the departure of Gunnar, the former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has been named the caretaker manager.

Although Carrick led the club a 2-0 victory over Villarreal in his first game, the club has sought a new interim manager to take charge until the end of the season.  

The club’s top priority was Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino, but he confessed to being happy at PSG and not allowing United’s interest to distract him from his current role.

After Pochettino’s statement, Valverde has been contacted by the club as he is one of the top candidates for the post. 

Besides Barcelona, Valverde has managed to Athletic Bilbao, Villarreal, Valencia, Olympiacos, and Espanyol. 

He was successful in leading Espanyol to UEFA Cup final in 2007. He won the double with Olympiacos in 2008-09 and 2011-12 and Barcelona in 2017-18. 

Other top candidates for the post the club is thinking of are Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag and Leicester City head coach Brendan Rodgers.

Her husband’s passion for photography

Her husband is passionate about photography. He even studied photography, thinking of making a career out of it after being a footballer leaving biology and electronics. 

He studied photography in the Institut d’Estudis Fotografics of Catalonia. For Valverde taking out a good image is like a party won.

According to Valverde, photography is something serious in his life, not a hobby. He had in his mind that he would dedicate himself to photography but ended up being a coach. 

After being a coach, he thought of balancing it with photography. He has managed five different clubs since he started photography. 

After having been dismissed from Barcelona’s managerial post in the middle of the 2019-20 season, Valverde officially opened an art exhibition where he placed all football photos he captured from more than a decade.
