Julie Goodyear and her former Coronation Street co-star Ken Morley took part in the ITV reality series Celebrity Fit Club. She was first named team captain, but after six weeks, she resigned and Aldo Zilli took over. Goodyear lost one stone and ten pounds over the competition, which helped her team win.
