Ryan Cabrera earned his net worth through his hit songs, TV appearances, and music videos. Born Ryan Frank Cabrera on July 18, 1982, in Dallas, Texas, US, he was only a teenager when he realized that music is his calling. At the time, eight-grader Cabrera stopped playing football in order to take guitar lessons. As a high-school student, he formed his first punk band: Caine, which didn’t last long. Under the influence of the rock tunes of Dave Matthews Band, he switched his electric guitar with an acoustic one and created his second band, Rubix Groove. In addition to playing the guitar, he also became the lead singer of the band. They shortly became a household name in Dallas, performing regularly at night clubs. Despite his success with Rubix Groove, Cabrera wanted to strike out on his own and in 2001 embarked on a solo career with his self-released album, Elm Street. The album was well-received and helped him land his first record deal with Atlantic Records in 2001. Cabrera’s debut single On the Way Down (2003) was a top ten hit in the US and the album Take It All Away sold over 66,000 copies in its first week and eventually got certified Double Platinum. Since, Ryan Cabrera has turned into a mainstream teen pop hero. His subsequent releases include You Stand Watching (2005) and The Moon Under Water (2008). Today, he is working on a new album.
