On Brisbane’s Labour Day, Julian Assange’s father, John Shipton, marched alongside Julian’s union, the Media, Entertainment, and Arts Alliance (MEAA).
John Shipton is marching to remind Australia that his son is a well-known Queensland-born journalist, whistle-blower, and MEAA member.

John also stated that Julian was imprisoned in the United Kingdom on International Press Freedom Day and that the Australian government ignored his predicament.
