Jourdan Dunn is a British model who was discovered in 2006 at the age of 15. She has since become one of the most successful models in the world, walking for top brands such as Prada, Chanel, and Dior. She has also appeared on the covers of magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar.
Dunn was born in Greenford, London, to a Jamaican mother and a Syrian-Lebanese father. She grew up in a working-class family and attended Elthorne Park High School. She was scouted by a Storm Model Management agent while shopping in a Primark store in Hammersmith.
Dunn made her runway debut in 2007, walking for Marc Jacobs and Polo Ralph Lauren. She quickly rose to prominence and was named one of the “Top 10 New Models” by Style.com in 2008. In 2009, she became the first black model to walk for Prada in over a decade.
