Josh Jackson’s biography

Joshua Jackson was born on April 3,1996 in Houston, Texas. He received his high school education from Lake Dallas High School in Corinth, Texas, where he excelled at multi-sports. He wrote in football, basketball and track and field and excelled in all three. Because of his strong performance, he received offers for athletic scholarships and became involved with the University of Iowa even before his senior season of high school.

At Iowa, Josh Jackson studied Sports Management and played for the Iowa Hawkeyes football team between 2014 and 2017. He was changed to a new jersey in his freshman year and as such saw no competitive action. However, he continued to play over the next three seasons, improving with each one. As a redshirt freshman (2015), he participated in 14 games, recording 8 tackles and 2 passes. In 2016, he participated in 12 games, recording 10 tackles and 4 pass defenses. 2017 was Jackson’s breakout season as he was just phenomenal. In 13 games for the Hawkeyes, he recorded 48 tackles (34 solo games), 26 passes defended, one forced fumble, and eight career-best interceptions (two of which he returned for touchdowns). He finished the season with the highest number of interceptions and passes defended in the country. Jackson has been rewarded with several awards for his heroic actions. He won the Big Ten Conference’s Tatum-Woodson Defensive Back of the Year award. The Columbus Touchdown Club also gave him the Jack Tatum Award for the nation’s top defender. He was also a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award presented to the national team by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame. The Columbus Touchdown Club also gave him the Jack Tatum Award for the nation’s top defender. He was also a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award presented to the national team by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame. The Columbus Touchdown Club also gave him the Jack Tatum Award for the nation’s top defender. He was also a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award presented to the national team by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame.

Not surprisingly, Jackson decided to forego his sophomore year for college football admission and enter the 2018 NFL Draft. He was drafted in the 2nd round (45th overall) by the Green Bay Packers, who signed him to a four-year contract valued at $6,256,100. The amount includes $2,629,892 in signing bonuses and a guaranteed sum of $3.9 million. With a 45th overall ranking, he became the top-picked Hawkeye defensive end since Bob Sanders, who had a 44th overall ranking in 2004. Josh Jackson is already proving to be a moneymaker with impressive performances in his debut season. He was tipped by many analysts to finish the season as the league’s top rookie defensive end.

Josh Jackson comes from a family of seven that includes Mom, Vanessa Jackson, Dad, Paul Jackson and four other siblings. Jackson isn’t the only athletic person in his family. His older sister, Christina, was a sprinter in college and his younger sister, Sophia, is a fellow at Drake University in Iowa. Jackson is also related to world-renowned hurdler Rodney Milburn, who won an Olympic gold medal at the 1972 Munich Games. Rodney and Jackson’s father, Paul, were cousins.

height and weight

Jackson is exactly 6 feet tall and weighs a modest 196 pounds or 88.9 kg. Though he’s of average height and doesn’t have great speed, he makes up for these shortcomings with his hand-eye coordination, excellent closing speed, football IQ and top-notch instincts (he jumped out of the way and knocked the receiver back to the ball with ease and started with an easy score going the other way). Jackson possesses gameplay skills and is a ball hawk. He also boasts good arm length (31 1/8 inches) which allows him to grab the ball from unsuspecting receivers.
