Early Life
Josephine Langford was born in Perth, Western Australia on the 18th of August, 1997. She was raised in a riverside neighborhood located in Applecross.
Her parents were very well to do and thrived in their respective fields. Her father, Stephen Langford, worked as a flying doctor before being appointed as director of medical services at the Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Operations, while her mum is also a successful pediatrician, known as Elizabeth Green.
Prior to her recent shot at fame, Josephine Langford had been known for her finesse with musical instruments. She learnt how to play the saxophone, violin, and piano before she reached adulthood.
Aged 10, the Australian prodigy wrote and performed Shadows for a music contest; winning Song of the Year in the process. She also wrote two more songs, Lonely in 2007, and Sea Shanty in 2008.

Soon, she landed her first major role; playing supporting actress to Joey King in the American horror film, Wish Upon. She also made her television debut in 2017 on Wolf Creek, a TV series popular amongst Australians.
Her career took an upward glide after impressing in her role as Tessa Young in After. The movie, which grossed about $69.7 million worldwide after its premiere in 2019, brought about Langford‘s first major honor as an actress.
She also appeared in the American horror anthology web television series, Into the Dark, before playing Emma Cunningham in Netflix’s Moxi‘ (2021).
