After Wignall’s arrest, it later emerged he had planted a tracker device on Dodsworth’s car, linked to an app and a laptop computer.

In March 2021, Jonathan admitted a charge of coercive and controlling behavior and stalking against Dodsworth for over nine years. Cardiff Crown Court heard Jonathan’s wife had been left “frightened and broken” by his “verbally abusive and physically violent” behavior. On one occasion, Wignall pushed her in front of family members, causing a fractured rib.

He was jailed for three years recently, and he was also given a restraining order against contacting Dodsworth.
