Jonathan first began his reporting career at New York I News in 1992. He helped lead the station’s coverage of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the Sheik Terror Plot. He then transferred to WPIX Channel 11, in 1996 and transferred in 2001. He focused on covering politics, police and the courts, and national and international news for the station.

As a reporter at WNBC, he has covered major crime cases, among them taking down major CEO frauds like the CEO of Comverse Technologies who fled the country rather than face criminal charges, the CEO of  Symbol Technologies who was a fugitive being tracked down, among others. In 2008, he reported one of the biggest Ponzi schemes in US history and one of the States’ biggest white-collar crimes. He led to the arrest of Bernie Madoff, a broker who had stolen over $60 billion US Dollars.

He also reported the Virginia Tech Shooting Case, the capture of millionaire fugitive Robert Durst, and the capture of former NBA star Jayson Williams in one year, 2007. Jonathan has won numerous awards for his tremendous work in reporting major crime stories in the three decades of his reporting career.

He is currently covering the case on false COVID-19 death reports in New York nursing homes, where news surfaced that there have been more than 15,000 deaths compared to what Governor Cuomo and his associates recorded, 8500 deaths. Jonathan and his accomplice Joseph Valiquette who worked formerly in the FBI are covering the case.
