Jon Bon Jovi Co-band Members’ Heartbreaking Tributes To Alec John Such After Former Bassist Passes Away

Alec John Such, a founding member of Bon Jovi and former bassist, died at the age of 70. Although it’s unclear how Such died, the band announced the tragedy on social media.

According to Behind The Music interviews with Bon Jovi and former guitarist Richie Sambora, Such departed the band in 1994 after being fired for disappointing performances and recording sessions for the 1994 best album, Cross Road.

During the group’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018, the band reunited with Such and Sambora. The original five members took turns speaking on stage for an hour and a half before performing four of their hits alongside the current band.
