Jon is a well-known gospel musician. He began playing percussion and drums at the age of 8 with his family band. He switched to piano and took classical music lessons and transcribing songs from video games such as Street Fighter Alpha, Final Fantasy VII, and Sonic the Hedgehog. Batiste produced and performed at his own show at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam when he was 20 years old. His music project Social Music spent over a month at the top of the Billboard and iTunes jazz charts.
